Zoe is the founder and lead Artist of Tatt Brat. Her creative journey began in childhood, where she entered in competitions and her keen eye for detail flourished. She transitioned from a Portrait Commission Artist, creating works for clients across Australia, to Graphic Design, and ultimately embarked on her tattoo apprenticeship in 2016. After honing her craft in various Newcastle studios, Zoe developed a unique fine line art style, which inspired her to create Tatt Brat - an inviting space for likeminded creatives. Zoe’s vision for Tatt Brat is rooted in passion, trust, and creativity, providing a safe and inclusive space for everyone to explore and embrace their artistic potential. Birdy began her tattooing journey in 2020, though her love for art started long before then. After receiving her very first tattoo from Zoe, she realised tattooing was the path she wanted to pursue. In a full-circle moment, Birdy later joined the team at Tatt Brat, where she continues to grow her craft and creative style. Drawing inspiration from all things witchy, Australian native flora and fauna, books, and animals, Birdy’s work is deeply rooted in storytelling, sentiment, and individuality. Her style primarily focuses on fine line and illustrative tattooing, while she also hopes to expand further into realism, larger-scale pieces, and bringing more of her original flash designs to life. Outside of tattooing, Birdy studies Naturopathy part-time, has a wide range of creative hobbies, and is always up for a good chat, making every appointment feel warm, relaxed, and personal. A devoted Mum of three, Kaylah moved to Newcastle five years ago to chase her dream of becoming a tattoo artist. After 12 years in makeup artistry, she transitioned to cosmetic tattooing before embarking on her tattoo apprenticeship. Kaylah loves spending time with her family, enjoying coffee dates, delving into true crime, and embracing all things spooky! Her passion goes beyond creating beautiful tattoos; she strives to provide a safe, comfortable space and experience for her clients. Specialising in fine-line and illustrative styles, she is also eager to learn and explore new techniques. License No: 106957

Shenoa, is a tattoo artist with a passion for creating art that sticks...literally! With two years of experience, she’s had the privilege of working alongside incredible artists and connecting with so many amazing clients along the way. Noa is driven by the opportunity to showcase not only body art but also cosmetic tattooing, while building meaningful relationships with each person she works with. Noa is grateful that she gets to bring her designs to life on others’ skin, and is forever grateful for the chance to do what she loves. License No: 110194

Justin is our apprentice tattoo artist and a longtime creative. He’s been drawing since he was a kid and now channels that into tattooing. His work blends style, personality, and a love for all things hand-drawn. Justin’s work reflects both the nostalgic and the new. Drawing from vintage 80s traditional, filigree, and rococo influences, he blends classic foundations with contemporary techniques and style. His fine line detail and bold character work bring a playful edge to everything he tattoos. Laid-back in energy but focused in practice, Justin stays dialled in on evolving his craft and pushing his style forward. License No: 110176

Sev is our newest apprentice, bringing a fresh burst of creative energy to the Tatt Brat studio. With a deep love for art, the gym, and the occasional cheesy pun, she’s been tattooing for 10 months and is eager to learn and grow within our vibrant community. Sev’s artistic style leans towards illustrative realism, fine line, and traditional designs, and she’s always ready to explore new ideas and techniques. Her warm personality and passion for meaningful conversations make her a joy to be around. Meet Grace, our Studio Manager and resident momager. She’s the first face to greet you when you walk through the door and the quiet powerhouse keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. With 5 years of experience in social media and management, Grace is the queen of calm in the chaos, organising bookings, hyping our artists, curating content and creating a space where creativity can thrive. As the owner of a small content creation business, she brings a killer eye for aesthetic and detail to everything, keeping the vibes immaculate, the team supported, and the candles burning (because ambience is non-negotiable).

Lauren Reynolds is a hand-poked tattoo artist and multidisciplinary creative. Her work focuses on fine line and illustrative tattooing, while she is always open to designs that push beyond that, ranging from bold, expressive pieces to small, highly detailed work. She is passionate about exploring the possibilities of hand-poked tattooing and continues to push the boundaries of what the technique can achieve, bringing intention and artistry to every piece she creates. Avali is a hand-poke/machine-free tattoo artist specialising in fine-line, illustrative and nature based tattooing. She most enjoys tattooing animals, botanicals and found objects on a small scale. With a degree in graphic design, majoring in Illustration she has explored a range of stylistic choices and mediums. Since she started hand poking, she has been overwhelmed by the kindness shown by her clients and enjoys connecting with people through this intimate experience. She loves having the opportunity to tattoo images or words that empower people as a form of healing or to represent their identity. ​ In her time outside of work, she enjoys getting outdoors with her dogs, exploring other artistic mediums or an inside rainy day with good food and many cups of tea.
